Good care keeps wool and knitwear soft, warm and in shape for many winters. The advice below is general. Always follow the care instructions provided for your specific garment, and check the product page for product-specific details.
Wash less, air more
Wool rarely needs frequent washing. Airing a garment between wears usually freshens it.
When you do wash
Use cool water and a gentle detergent made for wool. Avoid wringing or twisting; press the water out gently and dry the garment flat, away from direct sunlight and heat.
Embroidered and delicate pieces
Embroidered shawls and garments with decorative borders are often best dry cleaned. If in doubt, ask a specialist cleaner.
Storage
Fold knitwear rather than hanging it, which can stretch the shoulders. Store in a breathable cover with a clean, dry environment.
